Spring of 2016 saw Behind Door 7 Media’s Director of Photography Benjamin Rader on-set with Dorsey Pictures for filming of multiple episodes for season 2 of DIY’s “The Treehouse Guys.”
Operating camera for the series, which shoots on two Canon C300’s, Benjamin and the crew travelled cross-country multiple times. Filming during the 18-day trip took them from North Carolina to Idaho and back east to Tennessee and South Carolina, as well as other places.
Behind Door 7 Media provided a camera package which included a Canon C300, DJI Osmo gimbal system, Canon 5D DSLR which ran on a DJI Ronin M5. We had our Socanland battery powered 1×1 hi-powered LED lights on-set and a 4×6 white bounce/silk for On The Fly (OTF) interviews with cast at each site. Easy to pack and use, this light kit was the perfect complement with all the travel involved with this shoot. Included in scenes for a reveal day shoot, Behind Door 7 Media used our new Phantom 3 Drone to capture finish shots and beauties of the completed treehouse.
The one-hour episodes began airing in May on DIY channel.
